"I want hair like hers" Inspired by the beautiful waves worn by actress Bella Thorne at this year's Coachella festival? Here's the lowdown on how to copy her look
Break out your floral crowns, beaded head wraps, crop tops and graphic tees—the word "festival" has gained momentum ever since Coachella's become a thang. Now, concertgoers across the country—no, the world—get decked out for their local music festivals. When it comes to hair, think pretty and natural. We like low-slung sof waves, fishtail braids and easy ponys. These chic yet laid-back looks translate beyond festival days and are loved by college students and artsy trendsetters alike.
Day 1: Boho Waves
Step 1: Create a center part. Take a 1" vertical section and mist with CHI Style & Stay Spray
Step 2: Curl section using 1" CHI ARC, directing hair back and away from the face and leaving out the ends for an undone wavy look
Step 3: Repeat Steps 1 and 2 until the entire head is curled. Flip head over and break up the curls by combing your fingers through from root to ends. Finish the effortless look by misting hair with CHI Shine Infusion for a lightweight polish
Day 2: Fishtail Braid
Everyone knows that music festivals go more than a day, so bring a change of clothes and more hair inspiration (and don't forget the deodorant!)
Step 1: Create an off-center part on desired side and separate out a 2" section at the front bang area
Step 2: Make a fishtail braid with sectioned hair, leaving out the ends
Step 3: Secure braid with a mini elastic band. Mist braid with a Style & Stay Spray for hold. Hold the end of the braid in one hand while pushing up with the other to loosen and expand. Continue until you reach the top of the braid
Day 3: Wrapped Ponytail
Step 1: Just when your hairline is getting a bit scraggly, you can spray dry shampoo at the roots to eliminate the excess oil and pull hair back.
Step 2: Leaving the fishtail braid out, secure a loose, low ponytail with a covered elastic brand
Step 3: Wrap the braid once around the base of the ponytail and secure with bobby pins
Step 4: Hide the remainder of the band by wrapping a small piece of hair around the base of the ponytail.
Step 5: Secure the effortless look by misting it with a Style & Stay Spray
Always choose styles that make you stand out, but they should also be practical, comfy, and easy to maintain
