Trim Your Bangs – Cut Your Own Hair, Bang Trimming
  1. Always cut bangs dry. Wet hair shrinks up once it dries and you could be left with a too-short fringe. For full bangs, begin above the iris of one eye and work toward the other.
  2. Chip into the fringe in small sections— you can always take more if needed, but you can't add it back once it's been cut!
  3. If you want sweeping bangs, you'll move in the same iris-to-iris motion, but you'll begin cutting from above the bridge of the nose
  4. For longer bangs that can be either tucked behind the ear or pulled into a ponytail, you'll trim at the tip of your upper lip
